If you are ill in Hospital

A reminder to all that if you or a loved one find yourselves in hospital and you would like to be seen for pastoral care, please indicate this to the hospital staff and contact the church office 780-624-2743

Altar Flowers 

If  you would like to contribute towards flowers for the altar or would like to sponsor them in honour of a loved one/special occasion, please see Irene Goddard.

Church Maintenance  

Please help with shoveling to help keep the church safe and accessible for all. 

Vestry 

Vestry members meeting every 3rd Tuesday of the month .  

Church Building Safety 

In light of preventing thefts we are asking everyone to be especially vigilant about ensuring that doors are locked when you leave the church. Please only leave a door unlocked when you are in that part of the building.

Lock your car while in the church.

Service Volunteers

We need more people to assist with services.  Are you able to assist with Altar Guild, or being a communion assistant, scripture reader, working on easy worship or sound board? Please email stjamesadmin@telus.net or speak to Rose or David.

Opportunities to Serve

Peace River Community Soup Kitchen

We are part of the Community Soup Kitchen and we volunteer our time the first and third Monday of every month. The Kitchen has Charitable Organization Status and operates Monday, Wednesday and Friday, 12-1pm.  We have a team of people that take turns but we are always grateful for more helping hands.  If interested contact Rose Gish 780-219-7183

Food Bank 

St. James encourages its parishioners to donate items for the food bank throughout the month where they shop.

The food bank is in need of:   Canned beans example pork and beans., Canned meat all, Soup all, Canned fruit , Tomato( can), Pasta. Hamburger helper, Gluten free foods, Cookies, Hygiene items, Diapers all sizes.   

You may also donate funds and receive a tax  receipt.
